MIURA GOLF

CB-302 White Chrome Forged Irons

Soft carbon steel and a wide sole are supposed to be at odds. The softer the steel, the harder it is to forge into a broad, stable shape, and sole width is one of the limits Miura's craftsmen have long worked around. The CB-302 exists because Miura decided that limit was worth pushing.

Katsuhiro Miura began hand-forging irons in Himeji in 1957, and the family has built every head there since. The CB-302 carries forward a question put by Shinei Miura: why should a strong, penetrating ball flight belong only to the best players? Launched in 2023, it is the longest forged cavity-back iron Miura has ever made. It builds on the CB-301 with a redesigned sole and address profile, more forgiveness, and less offset.

The sole is the centrepiece. At 19mm in the 7-iron, it is the widest Miura has ever forged. The Y grind pairs a carefully judged camber with relief at the leading and trailing edges, so the club moves through the turf cleanly whether your delivery is steep or shallow. The width does not cost you in the scoring clubs: blade length shortens through the set while camber increases, which keeps the shorter irons workable. Inside, the cavity is shaped and weighted differently for each loft, and the design concentrates impact energy at the apex of the V-cut. The lofts are modern, with a 44° pitching wedge, to reduce spin and hold a flight that stays low and driving.

The White Chrome finish starts with Miura's signature satin. The head then receives a second, precision blasting pass that refines the surface into a soft matte with reduced reflectivity. It is quiet and understated, and it suits a head built on restraint. The forging, steel and specifications are identical to the Satin Chrome version. Only the surface changes.

Miura drew on the PI-401 and MB-101 in designing the CB-302. It suits golfers who want distance, forgiveness and Miura feel, and low handicappers will find it a strong answer in the long irons, paired with a more compact short-iron set. Lie angle, loft, shaft and grip can be fitted at our studio at Warren Golf & Country Club, Singapore, or via remote consultation for international orders.
