Progress Golf BB6 Utility Hybrid Head: Endless Ambition

BB6 UT: high trajectory, high ball speed
The bellows crown structure from the BB6 driver and fairway wood is also in the utility. The dual bellows structure of the crown and sole increases rebound, producing a high launch and high initial ball speed.

Flight structure: centre of gravity control design
Heavy tungsten steel sits in the centre of the sole, the toe and the heel. This gives a low, deep centre of gravity suited to a utility.

Flight adjustment: adjuster and twin weights
The loft and lie adjuster and the twin toe and heel weights let you tune feel and trajectory to improve strike rate and directional control.

BB6 utility structure

  • The body uses the same lightweight, high-strength Ti 6-4 titanium as the BB6 fairway wood.
  • A bridge-shaped bellows structure in the crown works with the sole to create a dual bellows structure, which raises rebound.
  • A lightweight, high-strength carbon crown hides the power bridge structure, so you can focus on address without losing the look.
  • A high-density tungsten plate (85g) sits in the centre of the sole, with a 4g weight in the toe and a 6g weight in the heel, for a low, centralised centre of gravity.
  • Materials: cast 6-4 Ti body, forged 6-4 Ti face, carbon sheet crown, tungsten plate and tungsten weights.

BB6 Utility flight theory

  • The bellows run in a bridge shape across the crown centre. This maximises how far the sole and crown flex at impact. The body stores power and releases it to raise ball speed.
  • At impact, the tungsten plate in the sole pushes toward the face, which increases the bellows' flex and stores power. The spring effect then returns that flex almost instantly, and the rebound from three places (face, sole and crown) increases ball speed.
  • Compared with the BB4 UT, the distance from the face to the bellows is 5mm shorter (BB4: 10.5mm, BB6: 5.5mm). Impact power goes into the bellows sole without loss.
  • The FP value is 2.5mm larger than the BB4 UT, giving a shape that picks the ball up easily.

Just Meet adjuster and toe/heel weights (shared with the BB4 UT)
The neck adjuster and the toe and heel weights let you match the club to your specs and adjust feel, strike rate and direction.

  1. Adjuster: Loft, lie and face angle can be adjusted to suit your swing and the courses you play.
  2. Weights: Changing the toe and heel weights shifts the centre of gravity, which adjusts feel, strike rate and direction.

Adjustment ranges from the N position:

  • Loft: UT2 17°, UT3 20°, UT4 23°, UT5 26°, adjustable ±1.0°
  • Face angle: 0° on all models, adjustable ±2.0°
  • Lie: UT2 58.0°, UT3 58.5°, UT4 59.0°, UT5 59.5°, adjustable up to +2°

Each cell shows loft / face angle / lie.
