Kyoei Dual Weight II Iron Satin

A players' distance iron — Kyoei's original Dual Weight became their best-selling model in 2020, and this is the refined

The Dual Weight II builds directly on what made the first-generation model Kyoei's top seller: real forgiveness in a shape better golfers won't feel embarrassed carrying. It's the most forgiving iron in the 2022 KK lineup — the brand's thickest topline and widest sole of the range — but at just 5.5mm, the topline stays notably thin, and offset stays lower than most blades on the market. That combination is what makes the DWII stand out: compact, workable, forgiving, and soft off the face, without tipping into oversized game-improvement territory.

Each head is single-piece forged from super-soft S20C Japanese steel, then CNC milled for flat faces, sharper grooves, and clean engraved logos. A hand-brushed hairline polish gives the finish a satin, handmade texture rather than a uniform factory sheen.

The defining feature is in the name. Two adjustable head weights sit low and behind the sweet spot, deepening the center of gravity beyond what a fixed-weight cavity can achieve. Weights ship in interchangeable Light-Kit and Heavy-Kit options with color-coded rings — genuinely useful for dialing in swingweight around custom lengths, not just a cosmetic detail.

The DWII carries Kyoei's evolved 5-Cut sole grind — the brand's most-requested turf interaction point, tested over years to play well for both sweepers and diggers. Lofts run stronger than traditional players' irons (PW at 44°) for a touch of extra distance without inflating the set.

Finish: Chrome Satin is standard; Black PVD is available for a modest premium and is noted to pair especially well with the red or blue weight ring colorways.
